Speed Down is a one-of-a-kind Repeat Item that appears in The Legend of Dragoon. It significantly reduces a monster's Speed (Agility) in battle and can be found in the Mountain of Mortal Dragon.
Speed Down is a good part of any strategy, though it can be especially useful in defeating some Unique Monsters. Specifically, it works against 00PARTS, one of the best monsters for farming gold :
- On Disc 3, with Miranda, Dancer's Shoes, Wargod's Amulet, and Long Bow it is impossible to miss. So use Miranda, Dart and Haschel (or Meru).
- Magic Stone of Signet
- Unless Miranda, use Speed up on Miranda
- Unless Miranda, use Speed down on enemy
Miranda will get 4-7 attacks by herself: the other characters are just for some unnecessary cushion.
