Scissorhands is an Earth element creature of which is located within the Barrens. It is a cousin of the Scorpion in Death Frontier, and has the same named Vice Cut primary physical attack.
A rule of thumb for Legend of Dragoon monsters: if the creature has some kind of shell, it will have boatloads of physical Defense. Scissorhands is tied for third highest physical Defense in the game, along with its fellow Shell-covered creatures Screw Shell and Rocky Turtle, behind Mad Skull and Scorpion, and just ahead of the Spider Urchin.
Appearance[]
They appear as giant scorpions with a massive left claw and a very small right claw. It has spikes on its back and a long stinger.
Battle[]

This creature has relatively high defence and very low health, this coupled together should take a few hits to defeat. It's damage is only average and it cannot perform any magic, it can however, use poison on hit when it's health falls below halfway. Almost always found in a pair, you can still find them alone or in a pair with another creature, and on rare occasion one with another creature type.
- Vice Cut - Runs towards a single target slashing with claws dealing low damage.
- Poison Sting - Slashes a single target with claws dealing low to medium damage with a 50% chance to inflict Poison upon hit.

Drops[]
This creature drops the spell item Meteor Fall with a rare 8% probability. This spell item deals low to medium earth element damage and you can purchase it for 20 gold in Bale and Black Castle. It would take on average 30 minutes or more to obtain this way, although this varies per person and their luck. Many creatures in this and future areas are earth element and would take half damage.
