Cactus is an Earth-element based monster of which is located within The Death Frontier.
Appearance[]
These monsters look like green spiky plants but they are not rooted like normal cacti: they are able to use their large leaves to glide, biting their target with a flytrap-like maw.
Battle[]
Cacti are very straight forward enemies by not having any magical attacks or the capability to inflict Status Ailments. They are plentiful here and their average damage adds up so do not take them too lightly, even if you can vanquish them in a hit. Remember, the nearest safe spot, and shop are far apart from you and each other so conserving yourself is crucial here. Guard will be very effective against these.
- Base Dive - Hovers towards a single target, hops on them dealing medium physical damage.
- Needle Burst - Twirls, launching several needles towards a single target dealing medium physical damage.
Encounter rate: Very common
Battle pairing / formation[]
All battle formations of which you will encounter a Cactus
- Cactus x2
Drops[]
Upon defeat, this monster may drop the healing item Recovery Ball with an uncommon probability of 15%. This item can be useful but if you are in need of specific potions due to enemies being relentless, this is probably not recommended because then you would be playing the game of risk. They are fairly common though, taking averagely 10 minutes to obtain. As always, this varies per person.
