Belzac was one of the original Dragoons during the Dragon Campaign, wielding the Dragoon Spirit of the Golden Dragon.
It is known that this huge man had a very soft heart. He loved children and the White-Silver Dragoon, Shirley. He died protecting her from a Virage in Kadessa during the last battle of the Dragon Campaign. Belzac never knew that he failed to protect Shirley, and lives on as a spirit because of that uncertainty.
When the heroes are going to Vellweb to free his spirit, he goes into a frenzy of disbelief and denial of the death of Shirley. Upon defeat, he drops a Golden Stone.

Dragoon Addition[]
- Main article: Kongol#Additions
Belzac is using the same Dragoon Additions as Kongol.
Dragoon Magic[]
Belzac is able to use all the magic Kongol can use, which means he can use Meteor Strike, Grand Stream and Golden Dragon.
Strategy []
Like Kongol, he takes a lot of magical damage. Magic users, Attacking Items and equipment that boost MP and MA are effective. Another thing he has in common with Kongol is his physical attacks are strong, so high physical defense is crucial to withstand his attacks.

Trivia[]
- Within the game, there is contradicting information on how Belzac actually died. The cutscene of Rose remembering the Dragon Campaign during chapter 2 shows him having been pierced by the claws of a Virage, while holding up a collapsing roof to protect Shirley. Subsequently the Virage charges a laser beam, and presumably kills both Shirley and Belzac. However, upon encountering the Scarred Super Virage in the Forbidden Land, Rose remembers that this "must be the Virage that killed Belzac". Belzac himself, upon being confronted in Vellweb, remembers that he "[...] took the attack of Super Virage, with [his] own body...to be the shield for Shirley". However, within the cutscene mentioned before, he is nowhere seen to be fighting with the Super Virage, instead it was Kanzas who fought it and took it with himself by unleashing a massive self-destructing attack. This contradiction is never resolved within the game.
