Poison needle does not work on blue or red bird at all, I am betting that it does not work on most, if not all of these. Confusion also seems unlikely to work before the enemy runs away but I will try and report back.
I was wondering if it works and you get the benefits of defeating them or is it like using a Total Vanishing or running away from them where you don't get any experience or gold?
